About Jane Goodall

1. In the summer of 1960, 26-year-old Jane Goodall arrived on the shore of Lake Tanganyika in East Africa to study the area's chimpanzee population.

3. Jane made the trip to Kenya by boat at the age of 23, and it was there that she heard of Dr. Louis Leakey, a renowned paleontologist and anthropologist.
